Description
Small batteries that are not classified as hazardous waste, e.g., household batteries used in flashlights, radios, etc. See the Battery Return overview for examples. Remember to tape the poles of each battery to prevent them from reacting with other batteries and causing heat generation.
Collection
Collected separately as its own fraction in a red battery box, 30 or 60-liter drums with vermiculite between layers. Plastic drums should be used for packaging. Batteries must be declared electronically at avfallsdeklarering.no.
Processing
Delivered to approved receipt for sorting, processing and/or destruction.
Recycling
The batteries are recycled as much as possible.
Non-compliance
Will incur additional costs and may result in reception refusing to accept it. If the declaration is not completed, hazardous waste is not taken by the driver.
